This was so much fun last year that I thought I should open source the code so that you can incorporate it into your scavenger hunt. The code was incredibly hard to crack, you really wouldn't believe how hard a simple problem like this is to figure out.
Here's how it works. Take 8 teams of 5-6 people, visit 4 different bars, and meet a new group each time. At each bar, each team has a list of things they need to do to earn points. These are divided into drinks, dares or challenges, and pictures. At the end, everyone meets at the fifth bar to tally up the points and award the winner.
